Religious Mass, Walsingham shrine job, peace prayer

Latest news from across the Diocese of East Anglia includes a Mass for the Religious, prayer for life, a Catholic history newsletter and  job vacancy at the Catholic National Shrine at Walsingham.


Bishop Alan Hopes expressed his gratitude for the generosity and witness of the Consecrated and Religious of the Diocese of East Anglia at a Mass on Saturday February 1.

The day, at St John’s Cathedral in Norwich, was attended by around 40 Religious of the Diocese with a Mass followed by lunch in the Narthex. The Mass was a celebration of Consecrated Life held on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.


 

The Catholic National Shrine of Our Lady is looking to recruit a Director of Operations who will be responsible for the delivery of a welcoming, efficient and effective operational service to pilgrims.  The successful candidate will be dynamic, confident, pro-active and have a practical approach to operations planning and delivery.

There will be a Holy Hour for Life in St John the Baptist Cathedral in Norwich every Tuesday during Lent, between 12-1pm, to pray for the Sanctity of Life.

There will also be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament where the Rosary will be prayed followed by a period of silent prayer. This will take place on March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. All are welcome.


The Spring 2020 edition of Orientale Lumen, the newsletter of the East Anglian Catholic History Society has been published. It contains news of the East Anglia Diocesan archives, new books, a churches picture project and a millennium lecture.
