Swaffham nuns launch pop-up restaurant in London

Catholic nuns from the Daughters of Divine Charity in Swaffham are today serving free soup at NUNdos, a three-day pop-up restaurant in London’s Shoreditch, to launch the new Channel 5 series "Bad Habits, Holy Orders' which starts tonight (October 19).

Visitors toNUNdoswill find themselves transported to a spiritual haven where they will be encouraged to relax and take stock of their lives over a bowl of hearty chicken or lentil soup.

As well as show publicity, the totally free restaurant is opening in response to an influx of research studies that show that people under the age of 35 are at the greatest risk of suffering from anxiety.

To avoid the distractions ofInstagramandFacebook, diners will be encouraged to leave their phones in a bin, and collect them when they leave.

For dessert, the nuns will serve a takeaway treat as a reminder to diners to nourish the soul beyond the walls of NUNdos.

The Swaffham Sisters appeared onITV's This Morningyesterday andyou can view it here (starts on 53 mins)
