Below you will find a list of events from around the Diocese of East Anglia, the majority are run by the Diocesan Youth Service but some may be run by other organisations operating in the Diocese. Saturday 15th February 2020 – Glow: Peterborough

Join the Ignite Team for dynamic talks, music and workshops for those aged 12-18. To be held at St. Peter and All Souls Church, Geneva St, Peterborough, PE1 2RS. The day starts at 10:45am and concludes with 6pm Mass. For more info email Ciaran on igniteteam@rcdea.org.uk.

Sunday 15th March 2020 – Glow: Cambridge

Join the Ignite Team for dynamic talks, music and workshops for those aged 12-18. To be held at St Laurence’s Primary School, Arbury Road, Cambridge, CB4 2JX. Friday 8th to Sunday 10th May 2020: Ignite Festival

Come and experience faith in Jesus Christ in a new and dynamic way at the Ignite Festival. Including dynamic speakers, quality music, engaging workshops and entertainment. More information will be posted online as it becomes available.

N.B.: This year the Bank Holiday and Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham will be on Friday 8th May. The festival will start at 4:30pm to allow participants to attend Mass in Walsingham if they are able. There will be no Ignite Pilgrimage Walk this year. Monday 27th July to Friday 31st July 2020 – Pilgrimage to Malta: ‘In the Footsteps of St. Paul’

Join us on a trip to Malta for this year’s Youth Summer Pilgrimage for 16-35 year olds. As part of the ‘Year of the Word’ we will be following in the footsteps of New Testament writer St. Paul. Download an information pack here. To book a place click here.

 

TBC August 2020 – Youth 2000 Summer Festival, Walsingham

Experience international speakers, round-the-clock prayer and Adoration as well as excellent music and workshops right here in our Diocese! The annual Youth 2000 Walsingham Festival is England’s largest annual Catholic youth event and attracts hundreds of 16 to 35 year olds from all over the country. Saturday 31 October to Thursday 5 November 2020 – ECHO Walsingham

World-class Catholic formation for young adults aged 18-35 exploring how to find fulfillment in sexuality and relationships and in prayerfully discovering God’s will for your life. The Ignite Team also runs various events within parishes and schools including retreats, school missions and youth Masses. For more information on what the Ignite Team can offer to parishes and schools click here.

 

Glow Days: these are retreat days the Ignite Team can come and run in your parish and/or deanery for young people in your parish who are interested in growing in their faith.  The day is composed of dynamic talks, interactive workshops, activities, music and opportunities for prayer and reflection.  If you would like to have your parish host one of these days, or would like to find out more, please contact us on igniteteam@rcdea.org.uk.

 

Discipleship Days: these are similar to our Glow Retreat Days but are aimed at people aged 16 – 35, exploring areas of our faith in greater depth and also enabling us to grow together in fellowship.  The day is composed of times of prayer, both communal and personal, talks, discussion and workshops.  If you would like the team to come and run a Discipleship Day in your parish/deanery please contact us on igniteteam@rcdea.org.uk.
