Bungay pupil wins national primary painting prizes

Autumn Trenchard from St Edmund’s Primary School in Bungay was the national winner of the KSC Nativity Painting Competition for Primary Schools 2021.

Bro Jason Wickard, Provincial Grand Knight of East Anglia Province 27 of the Knights of St Colomba, presented the awards on Wednesday May 26 at St Edmund’s School.

Autumn Trenchard received awards as the National Winner of the KS2 group and Overall National Primary Age Winner. The Knights also presented cash prizes of £30 to her and £150 to her form teacher, Mrs Curtis, on behalf of the school.

The Rouse Columba Cup was inscribed with Autumn’s name and school and will be kept at the school for a year.

Bro Christopher Brooks, Past Provincial Grand Knight, arranged the presentation during an outdoor assembly of Autumn’s appreciative classmates, one of whom, Lucas, agreed to be the Knights’ photographer for the occasion.
