Invitation to join children’s pilgrimage to Walsingham

The Diocese of East Anglia Children’s Pilgrimage to Walsingham promises to be a fun day out for all the family on Tuesday, May 30 – during the school half-term holiday.

Join Bishop Peter Collins and children from across the Diocese of East Anglia at 10.45am for a walk from the village church to the Catholic National Shrine, along the pilgrims way.

Participants will be strewing flower petals, praying the rosary and singing hymns as they go.

Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine at 12 noon commemorating the feast of St Walstan.  This will be followed by a picnic lunch in the Shrine gardens.

At 2pm some groups will head to the beach at Wells-next-the-sea for some fun in the sand and, hopefully, the water.
