Lenten Masses, Holy Week and Easter

Lenten Station Masses will be taking place across the Diocese of East Anglia, leading up to Holy Week and Easter services and Masses.


The following remaining Lenten Station Masses across the Diocese will take place in each deanery at 5pm for Exposition and Confession and 6pm Mass, with Lenten Supper afterwards at 7pm:
Coastal Deanery: Our Lady Star of the Sea, Lowestoft – April 5
Norwich Deanery: St John’s Cathedral, Norwich – April 7

Holy Week at St John’s Cathedral

Chrism Mass – Tuesday April 12, 12 noon at St John’s Cathedral, Norwich. It will also be broadcast live online on YouTube.
The Easter Triduum at St John’s Cathedral, which will also be live-streamed on YouTube, is as follows.
Maundy Thursday 14 April: Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper, 8pm
Good Friday 15 April: Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, 3pm
Holy Saturday 16 April: Solemn Paschal Vigil with Baptisms and confirmations and First Mass of Easter, 8pm
Easter Sunday 17 April: Solemn Mass of Easter Day, 11am; other Masses will be at 9am, 3pm (1962 rite), 5.30pm.
Solemn Vespers and Benediction, 4:30pm
