Newman Conversation explores the art of dying well

Maggie Doherty will be the guest at the next Newman Conversation, where the subject will be preparing for a good death.

Maggie Doherty, who is director for the Centre for the Art of Dying Well, will be in conversation with Emeritus Professor John Charmley. Their discussion forms part of a wide look at key moments of life in this Year of St Joseph.

Before his retirement earlier this year, the Catholic historian Professor Charmley was Provost of St Mary’s University in Twickenham.

The Centre for the Art of Dying well is based at St Mary’s University. It offers practical and spiritual support to those faced with the prospect of dying, as well as doing research and public engagement. There is more information on its website here.

The lecture takes place at 1.30pm on Friday November 19 and you can register via this link.
