Radio Maria England celebrates two years on the air

A large team of volunteers at Radio Maria England, which is based in Cambridge, have helped it to pass the two-year broadcasting milestone.

“A Catholic radio station on air 24 hours a day?” writes Fr Andreas Schätzle, the Priest Director. “It is a true miracle of grace and volunteering. From a small seed grows a tree, in which the birds of heaven shall nest.  

“And this is how Radio Maria has spread all over the world – from a tiny parish radio in Italy to a worldwide network of evangelisation. What we experience in over 80 countries on all continents, and what God has already done in this short time in England, through the help of so many co-workers and volunteers, gives us hope for the future, in all the delights, and all the challenges, that such a new venture brings with it.”

The programmes of Radio Maria England are based on three pillars: prayer, catechesis and human formation. It broadcasts a daily Mass and spiritual content, as well as social programmes and worldwide news.
