Spiritual director Dr McFadyen grows a sunflower blog

Dr Margaret-Mary McFadyen, the diocesan representative to the Bishops Conference Spirituality Committee, is developing a blog to encourage people on their spiritual journey.


She has named the blog Sunflower Seeds Spirituality. The latest post, inspired by Julian of Norwich, explores the image of God as Mother, and draws on St Ignatius, as well as referencing the Book of Hosea and the Psalms.

In March she attended a meeting of the Bishops Conference Spirituality Committee, which looked at a number of subjects including The God who Speaks, spirituality in emergency and the Pope’s world-wide prayer network. You can read her full report on the spirituality page.
